(1) In order to be promoted to the following posts in the military technical service, the following service period should be reached:- The service period of the post to be promoted (a) Sahasenani two years (b) Sergeant seven years (c) Chief Sergeant thirteen years (d) General Sergeant seventeen years (e) Assistant Rathi twenty years (f) Upper twenty one years
(2) In order to be promoted to the following positions of military technical service, the following service period should be reached: 1? Period of service in the post to be promoted (a) Tenure for two years (b) Jamdar four years
(c) 8 Subedars for nine years (3) Notwithstanding anything written in clause (c) of sub-rule (2), a person who has been appointed to the post of Jamdar through open competition and has completed five years of service may be a candidate for promotion to the post of Subedar.
